NEXTRUCAD Demo Now Available On-Line

The NEXTRUCAD demo is an installable program, the same as the full program but with reduced functionality. The screw diameter, screw design and section lengths are fixed for a single example. The other extruder dimensions, process conditions, material data and solution inputs can be changed and the solution re-run. Problem results can be printed, but problems cannot be saved or opened.

Please click here to go to the NEXTRUCAD home page for a link to the demo.

NEXTRUCAD 1.0 released

Polydynamics is excited to announce the initial release of NEXTRUCAD, our new full-featured single-screw extrusion simulation package. NEXTRUCAD simulates solids transport, melting, and metering in single screw extruders, and predicts the solid bed profile, pressure build-up and bulk temperature along the screw axis, along with extruder output, power requirement, torque and average residence time. The software supports conventional single-flighted screws, barrier screws of Maillefer / Uniroyal and parallel flight (MC3 / Barr and Dray and Lawrence) designs, and screws with mixing (blister ring, Maddock or Egan) elements.

NEXTRUCAD replaces our original extrusion simulation package EXTRUCAD. We have a special price for the software, for former EXTRUCAD licensees!

Please click here to go to the NEXTRUCAD home page for further information, and for a link to the demo and to an informative slideshow for the software.
