What is VISCOFIT? |

VISCOFIT is a regression program that best-fits viscosity data obtained from either rotational (usually low shear rate) and/or capillary viscometer data. The data which might be available at different temperatures are easily fitted to the Power-law, Carreau, Log-polynomial or Newtonian models. If the data is available in the form of apparent viscosity versus shear rate, VISCOFIT can perform the Rabinowitsch correction to give the true viscosity versus true shear rate curve. Output includes various plots and model parameters such as consistency index, power-law index, and temperature sensitivity (exponential for Power-law and Carreau models).
VISCOFIT and POLYBANK have been created to help the users of our simulation software packages determine and store material parameters. This data can be retrieved and used with efficiency and speed.
VISCOFIT is a DOS-based software package. It can be
run directly on PCs with Windows 95/98.
For PCs with Windows NT/ME/2000/XP, Polydynamics will provide a custom bootable floppy
diskette or bootable CD-ROM for running the program.
